The Eve's

Today is the eve of Chinese New Year and we are all gear up for the reunion dinner at home. We went out for a drink in the afternoon as it was too hot to stay at home.

As for Sei Sook Kong, he stayed at home preparing the dishes for dinner which we were having french fries, sausages and bread outside. By the time we got back, dinner was almost ready. Sei Sook Kong, cooked nine dishes,
1) Steam Fish
2) Fried Salted Egg Prawns
3) Rendang Beef
4) Lemon Chicken with Taufu
5) Steam Egg with Scallops
6) Vietnamese Springroll (mommy helped to roll them)
7) Waxed Duck
8) Fried Vegetables
9) Soup

After dinner daddy drove out to Jusco in Ipoh to get a portable air-con since I could not sleep well last night.

Two More Days To Chinese New Year

Daddy was so afraid that the traffic would be bad, he decided to leave earlier to Ipoh instead. Daddy got back from work around 1430hrs and we left home around 1515hrs for Ipoh. It was a pleasant drive all the way to Ipoh except for a slight traffic jam near Gua Tempurung uphill. We arrived in Ipoh around 1730hrs which is actually not too bad since daddy thought it would take much longer.

I met up with grandpa, granny, great grandmother, Sei Sook Kung and Kus. Great Grandmother was sleeping since I arrived. Tomorrow will be Chinese New Year Eve and Grand Auntie Pearl and Grand Uncle Andy will be arriving from Penang. It is a custom for Chinese family to have a reunion dinner on eve. But I can't wait for another 2 days before I start collection my ang pows.

My upper teeth are coming out as well, mommy took a photo of it this morning before we left.

3 Days To Chinese New Year

This is my first post from a Mac since daddy got this computer a few days ago. Daddy is still trying to learn how to actually use the function as it defer from XP or Vista. One of the reason for daddy to get this mac was the experience he had with Vista was so bad that he is trying to learn and change to a Mac instead. But doing this blog here would be much easier to have it done in a PC instea.

Anyway, its going to be Chinese New Year, and this would be my first year collecting Ang Pow from all the Uncles and Aunties. I wonder what would my collection be since I actually started to collect it last year when I was still in mommy's womb. Anyway this year it would be slightly different as I would be collecting it physically.

Today mommy also started feeding me porridge in the new high chair we got from Ikea. It is definitely a good buy.

A New High Chair

As mommy wanted to get me a new high chair from Ikea so daddy drove out immediately after lunch for a short swim first. We arrive at the swimming pool just before 1500hrs and there isn't anyone in the pool and a nice little sheltered already around the pool bar area which is just nice for me to hang around without getting a tan. I had a lot of fun today again and I kick much more as well today by my own. No problem getting into the Floaties as well.

After swimming daddy drove us to Ikea so mommy could get the high chair we saw in many restaurants which I have sat on. Mommy got the chair plus the tray which was sold separately. Mommy also got me a new soft toy as well, which could easily use as a bolster as well.

Daddy met up with his old classmate as well, Uncle Andrew Looi at The Curve as we were going to have our dinner.

Grandpa and granny left for Ipoh today for a wedding dinner and they will be staying there for Chinese New Year. I will be meeting them for Chinese New Year in the next few days.

A Rainy Day

I thought today daddy will be taking me to the swimming pool again but unfortunately it rained the whole afternoon so the plan to go swimming had to be canceled. How I wish I had gone swimming again to. Anyway my weather here in Malaysia isn't as bad as in Eastern and Southern Coast of China when they are experiencing the worst winter in five decades. I wish them all the best and stay strong. Maybe this be a special Chinese New Year and more returns.

Anyway, later in the evening, daddy drove to Mid Valley since mommy wanted to get a swimming suit. Daddy also learned something new about the parking in The Gardens as well today, never park underground as we took exactly an hour from the time we paid the ticket until we got out into Federal Highway. It was crazy, getting stuck in the parking for at least 45mins.

Daddy also got his Powerbook G4 from Uncle Alex today, but he is having a tough time trying to figure out how to use a Mac. Hope I will be able to update this blog from the Mac soon.

Unfortunately, no photo was taken today and hope that mommy will model her new suit tomorrow in the pool.

Floating At Pool

Since it was a holiday so daddy thought it would be good to take me to the swimming pool as there would not have a lot of people in the pool today. When we arrived it was drizzling and daddy thought we might not be able to swim anymore but it stopped after a while.

This time I manage to stay in the float on my own without much problem and I enjoyed every moment of it. Guess this time because there wasn't anyone around me splashing water and running around me. Hope daddy will take me to the pool again soon and this time with mommy instead.

Later daddy drove us to Suria KLCC since he had a meeting there.
