Twenty Forth Day Renovation / Penang Third Day
(Mommy took this photo of Batu Ferringhi beach while parasailing)
Daddy woke up early in the morning to get the tyre fixed and bought some hokkien noodle for everyone back at home before going over to the beach for some fun. By the time we walk over to the beach, it was around 1400hrs and daddy started negotiating the price for the water activities. Daddy manage to negotiate to RM60 per person for parasailing from Golden Sands Hotel to Parkroyal Hotel and around the rocks near the army camp and back, which was quite a distance.
Then daddy negotiated the JetSki for RM50 for 30mins, which initially was only 15mins, then it was banana boat for RM12 per person for 2 rounds. While I had a horse ride with daddy for RM30 which daddy thought it was quite pricey but I was very persistent on riding it. We finish everything around 1700hrs before walking home to get changed for dinner at Bukit Tambun. It took us about an hour to get there with a detour to the bank since daddy ran out of cash.
We had quite a feast since there were a lot of us, we had,
1) 2kg of Crabs (Salted Egg and Dry Chilli)
2) Ginger and Onions Clams
3) Steamed Scallops
4) Steamed Octopus
5) Steamed Prawns
6) Chilli Prawns
7) Sweet and Sour Fish
8) Fried Rice
9) Fried Vegerables
10) Fried Eggs
By the time we got back to the apartment it was about midnight and Uncle David, Uncle Charles and Aunty Selina will be departing to the airport at 0400hrs for their flight to Hong Kong.
Lunch : Roast Pork and Chicken Rice
Dinner : Fried Egg, Fried Vegetable and Steamed Prawns with White Rice

Twenty Third Day Renovation / Penang Second Day
It's Christmas Day! Ho Ho Ho......
We woke up pretty early since Grand Uncle Andy and Grand Aunty Pearl had to attend a church function! Grand Uncle Andy has been confirmed to be a member of the church or something. Anyway we drove out around noon since daddy suggested to dive at the Langkawi Coral. We drove to their office located at Tanjung Bungah only to realise they had two different pricing for local (MyKad holder) and tourist! When daddy called earlier they quoted daddy RM280 for 2 dive plus transfer but when we got there, the price became RM380 since Uncle David is a foreigner. So daddy decided not to commit since we might get better price in the town. We then drove for the first Char Koay Teow, Sisters Char Koay Teow, which Aunty Selina and mommy prefer, then to Lorong Selamat for the other Char Koay Teow, which daddy and Uncle Charles prefer. Uncle David wasn't keen since all he wanted was the curry noodle! Below are what we had
1) 3 Plates - Char Koay Teow (plus another 2 from Sister total 5 plates + 1 Yam cake)
2) 3 Bowls - Penang Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle)
3) 2 Bowls - Assam Laksa
4) 1 Plate - Rojak
5) 1 Bowl - Prawn Noodle
We then drove to Fort Cornwallis since there are a few travel agent there might be able to help us getting to Pulau Payar Marine Park which was much cheaper but daddy thought it would be more fun to have buffet lunch on the platform. So we decided to drive back to the office to make the booking. On the way to the office, we stopped for the famous Penang Road Cendol, the amount of people waiting for a bowl of the cendol was even more than the Malacca Jonker Street cendol stall! Incredible.
Since we need to be back by 1700hrs, we drove to the Langkawi Coral again to make reservation but this time they did not allow Uncle David on the fun dive since Uncle David could not produce a valid BSAC diving log and daddy forgot to bring along the contact lense to daddy could not go as well since we will not have enough time to buy anywhere. So we decided to go for the dive but instead some water sport by the beach since mommy wanted to go on the para-gliding again.
The drive back from Tanjung Bungah took almost 45mins since there was a head on collision just after Mar Vista Apartment, only one lane was open. We thought we will not get back in time for dinner but we manage to reach the apartment just before 1800hrs, only to find out that daddy's rear tyre got a puncture! We then left the house around 1830hrs for dinner at Penang Swimming Club, which was located at Tanjung Bungah, and we had to drive past the traffic jam again, luckily by the time we were reaching Miami beach, the traffic got better and we arrived just before 1900hrs.
After dinner we drove back home and it was time to open my presents! I got 4 presents,
1) A Christmas Teddy Bear from Uncle David
2) A Mickey House Club House fromUncle Charles and Aunty Selina
3) Play Dough from Grand AuntyPearl and Grand Uncle Andy
4) A Doll With Bed and Carrier from Daddy and Mommy
Lunch : Fish Ball Noodle and Char Koay Teow
Dinner : Turkey, Fried Rice and Broccoli

Twenty Second Day Renovation / Penang First Day
It's Christmas Eve today. We left home around 1000hrs for Penang with a brief stopover at the house to see the progress of the renovation. The table top now is done with all the side patched. Aunty Tracy's father would need to come over to drill a tape hole at the stainless steel sink which the contractor will charge daddy for it. Anyway daddy also decided to get the plaster ceiling contractor to change the plaster ceiling for the porch since the plaster ceiling for the toilet area is too small, and they would need a minimum charge.
We left the house at noon for Penang, since daddy couldn't decide on a few things and I was starting to get reckless, must be the hunger since I did not have much for breakfast. The drive to Penang was smooth until we arrived at Juru toll plaza when the traffic started to build up. But we arrive at the house, Sri Sayang, just before 1800hrs even with a brief stopover at daddy'soffice. Because Grand Aunty Pearl had gone out shopping, we waited at the restaurant downstairs for her. Grand Uncle Andy, Uncle David, Uncle Charles and Aunty Selina arrived just before 2000hrs after a terrible jam coming back from golf. Since we were all hungry we decided just have dinner by the food court along Batu Ferringhi.
After dinner, Grand Uncle Andy and Grandy Aunty Pearl drove back first since Grand Uncle Andy was falling asleep, daddy then decided to take a drive to the new Hard Rock Hotel. We were all impress with the swimming pool, it had sands actually at the bottom of the pool, which was something very new! The hotel was also full of people, most of them were just like us, walking into the hotel just to have a look!
We drove back after that since all of us were tired.
Lunch : Roast Pork Rice
Dinner : Fish Ball Noodle

Twenty First Day
Today the workes did not turn up again, guess they might be busy patching up other places instead. Any the electrician came today and daddy discuss about there to add power points and new light points. Daddy also found out that the fan downstairs isn't working so we will need to buy a new fan soon.
Mommy almost finish packing our cloths since we will be driving to Penang tomorrow. In the evening, daddy came back to pick us up since mommy had made appointment to meet up with a real estate agent to rent a shop for mommy's little business, selling baby cloths, i-clay, maternity clothing and clay class.
Since we have not get any present for Uncle Charles we drove to Jusco Cheras Selatan to get Uncle Charles a present. We didn't know it was Jusco day, the traffic was actually quite bad but daddy manage to find a parking within 10mins, which was very lucky. We also met Uncle Wei Siong and Han Lin at the mall.
Lunch :
Dinner : Fish Ball Noodle @ Mahkota Cheras

Twentieth Day Renovation
Daddy started running around today since we will be leaving for Penang on Thursday to celebrate Christmas there. Daddy started in the morning visiting the electric shop in Kajang since the electrician told daddy the price in this shop is very cheap, indeed the price in this shop was even cheaper than both the shop daddy enquired along Jalan Ipoh. The same LCD steplight was selling in Kajang for only RM35.00 while the shops in Jalan Ipoh was going for RM50.00 and RM80.00 respectively. This shop was full of customers and the people did not stop coming in! After sending the LCD light to the electrician, daddy drove to Jalan Ipoh to collect the 22" toilet bowl for daddy's bathroom and to pay the balance payment for the marble table top.
The workers were still busy installing the tiles for the bathroom downstairs while the electrician started removing the dimmer from the wall since daddy wanted it embedded into the wall.
As for me and mommy, we started packing our cloths for Penang this Thursday.

Nineteenth Day Renovation
Today, the electrician came to the house and started hacking the walls to install new points as well and switches and the contractors started to put up the tiles for the bathroom downstairs as well. They estimate everything will be done by end of this week, which is great which then the painter would be able to come in next week and the wood flooring the following week and I should be able to move in by end Jan before Chinese New Year. The marble installer came today today as well to measure the exact measurement for the table top.
Nothing much happen to me, stayed at home the whole day since I was out the whole day yesterday.

Eighteen Day Renovation
It's an off day today for the workers. Nothing was done.
Mommy made appointment to meet up with Aunty Ou today for somtum at a Phad Thai Restaurant in Taipan USJ (click here for Star Metro review). We arrived at Aunty Ou house just afternoon noon and proceeded to the restaurant with Uncle Raymond leading the way. It was our fist time going to this restaurant. The taste is quite alright except mommy dessert "Sticky rice with mango" taste is not so good and price is too expensive for a very little amount of sticky rice and few pieces of mango.
After we finished our lunch, mommy and Aunty Ou suggested to go to do some shopping at Sunway Pyramid. Aunty Ou wanted to buy some clothes as mommy wanted to buy some Christmas present. There was also a small make-shift theme park erected recently and I was waiting to ride on it. I got to ride the carousel, car on track, and the airplane. It was a great fun. While I was enjoying my rides, mommy, Aunty Ou and Uncle Raymond was waiting for me and daddy at Krispy Kreme, which is suppose to be good but it was just as bad as Dunkin' Donuts. Aunty Ou and Uncle Raymond left first since Baby Emalie needed her afternoon nap.
We stayed on since we had to get some Christmas present as we will be driving up to Penang and celebrate Christmas with Grand Aunty Pearl, Grand Uncle Andy, Uncle David, Uncle Charles and his girlfriend.
Lunch : Fried egg, fried vegetable with white rice.
Dinner : Fried tofu and chicken with ginger sauce.

Seventeenth Day Renovation
We did not manage to see what is the progress in the house today since mommy had to attend the third day of I-Clay class at Berjaya Time Square but Uncle Chan, our neighbour called daddy to inform daddy that he hadrequested our contractor to paint the whole wall instead of just a touch up. We left early in the morning, around 0930hrs after mommy bought a few Char Siew Pau and we arrived at Time Square at 1030hrs, just before Fiona arrived to open the shop. I had to stay with daddy and Uncle Peck for about 3 hours, while waiting for mommy to finish the class with Aunty Ivy. While me and daddy waiting for mommy to finish we had ice-cream, then walked to the theme park and after that to get some drinks on the lower ground floor. By the time mommy finish at 1330hrs, we were all hungry and Uncle Peck bought us lunch at Johnny's.
After lunch mommy thought of walking around to get present for Uncle David and Grand Uncle Andy at Metrojaya, but only realise it was already closed! Guess no anchor outlet would actually work well in Berjaya Time Square. By now, I was already starting to be reckless since I have not got my afternoon nap yet. Daddy decided to drive home since daddy was also tired.
Lunch : Fish Ball,Meat Ball, Crab Stick and Chicken @ Johnny's
Dinner : Bak Kut Teh

Sixteenth Day Renovation
Its a holiday and a shopping day. We went out in the morning to the house to meet the electrician whom did the wiring for Uncle Cheng's house but the price quoted was more than what the Astro Installer quoted a few days ago to daddy. Anyway we stayed at home for about 2 hours before meeting up with Uncle Wei Siong for Char Siew rice at Salak South Garden. We arrived around 1400hrs and daddy thought everything would have finished, but luckily there was enough for us, a mix of Char Siew, Siew Yok and White Chicken.
After lunch, we walk behind to Kuan Hoi Trading, supposingly the importer for Baco brand (cannot find it on the net, daddy suspect could be a made in China product) since daddy saw a few tapes which could be right for the basin daddy bought. The design that daddy likes does not have the right height and the ones which has the right height wasn't what daddy was looking for. As daddy was chatting with the sales lady, I went out with mommy to see 2 chinese disabled men, one blind - blowing a chinese flute and another wihout a pair of leg sitting on a makeshift board to push around with his pair of hand. It was quite a sight, lots of people took the chance and stand outside the road to see what is going on.
After that we drove to Jalan Ipoh again since daddy need to buy the toilet bowl for me and the ground floor bathroom. We got a Toto toilet bowl for my bathroom and a Johnson Suisse for the bathroom downstairs. For more information on toilet bowls, click here. Daddy manage to fit both toilets into the car! Since both shop charges for delivery.
We left around 1800hrs and drove back the toilet bowls back home since it would be too heavy to drive it around inside the car. We decided not to go anywhere since daddy was tired.
Lunch : Char Siew Rice
Dinner : Herbal Soup Noodle
