What An Outing!

It was suppose to be another swimming day but it started raining when we were about to reach the club. The sky was already getting dark when we left the house with Ser Kai and Auntie Jin but thought the rain could be very local, unfortunately, it turn out to be a thunderstorm when we arrived at the club. Mommy changed me into a normal cloths since I was already in my suit, all ready to jump in.

Since we were not able to swim, mommy suggested to walk around at 1 Utama since we have not been there for quite a while already. We arrived in 1 Utama around 1700hrs and daddy was wondering if there is a Wendy's in 1 Utama, craving for the Chillis. This time we found something very interesting in with a special dedicated F.O.S. for Kids and Teen, with a lot more choice than the normal store. They were carrying brand such as Ralph Lauren, G.A.P, Lewis, Gymboree and many many more for a fraction of the original selling price.

I had Vietnamese for dinner today, anyway, only a few spoons of vermicelli with beef balls. Photos below are the dishes we ordered in Vietnam Kitchen,

(clockwise from top left : stew peanut, seafood salad, vietamese springroll, beef noodle)

We left 1 Utama around 2200hrs after shopping for almost 5 hours. What a crazy day.

Lake Of Walker

I woke up this morning and the first thing I told daddy was, "Papa, Shopping".

So after I had my afternoon nap, mommy changed me and told me wake daddy up for shopping. Since granny had gone out to office so only mommy and daddy went shopping with me. Since we have been going shopping on a weekly basis, daddy had no idea which mall to go anymore, so mommy suggested Mid Valley which we had been going almost every weekend. But this time it was totally different the carpark was almost full with cars parking at illegal bays, even daddy favourite parking area was full at B1. Anyway daddy could still parked at the second favourite spot at B2.

The mall was full of people, it was human traffic jam. So many people all over the place and we had to avoid so we do not knock onto the people coming toward us. Daddy wasn't keen in walking with such crowd so we stayed around Gardens instead since it has less crowd but still quite a lot compare to normal weekends.

For dinner we went to Flying Chillies since it has the lease people, as most of the other restaurant were quite full,

Malacca Here I Come

Malacca was added to the World Heritage Site List together with Penang Island as a join heritage historic city on 7 July (2008) this year. A couple of years back when daddy was visiting Colonia, another world heritage in Uruguay, the owner of the guesthouse did not know were Malaysia, Singapore and even Thailand is but has heard of Malacca! Quite amazing right. Anyway this trip to Malacca is to visit the famous Melaka Zoo, it has a good mix of animal but do not have an aquarium. I think the best feature in the zoo are the big cat cages with Panther, Leopard, Tiger and a pair of Lions. Another feature which I missed would be the safari boardwalk. Overall daddy would rate this zoo, 6 out of 10 but mommy will only award it 4 out of 10.

After visiting the zoo, daddy drove into the town but the traffic was so bad that daddy had to detour using the Bukit Cina joining the traffic heading into Jonker Street. Daddy called Uncle Khee Wai to asked where would be the best place to park around Jonker Street since the traffic was so bad around Jonker Street. All the restaurant along Jonker Street was full with people lining up to get a place to sit, even Daddy's favourite cendol stall was full of people. It was definitely daddy's worst trip to Malacca, did not manage to have this Chicken Rice Ball, Cendol and the actual Satay Celup stall (along Jalan Ong Kim Wee).

We arrived back home around 1930hrs after getting stuck around Malacca road since the signages told daddy to follow a different route. The road signs in Malacca need lots of improvement for tourist like daddy.

A little suggestions from Daddy in making Malacca a more interesting place,
1) Stop vehicles from driving into the World Heritage Area.
2) Resurface the roads with pebbles
3) Set up stalls along the area.
4) Police or enforcement back-up dress in 1600 uniform.

Lunch : Stream Vegetable Egg with Unpolish Rice
Dinner : Satay Celup @ Zao Jiuu (better celup restaurant is next to this, open at 1700hrs)

Swimming Or Not!

I was suppose to have a good time swimming today but unfortunately after mommy changed me, it first started to drizzle and then within seconds it poured. You can actually see the rain coming toward the my direction, and the lifeguard around the pool started to blow to whistle, asking everyone to evacuate the pool, probably because of lightning. Since I could not swim, daddy asked me where shall we go, and I answed quickly "SHOPPING".

I arrived around 1700hrs and daddy went directly to Wendy's since daddy has been craving for it since since the last time we were here a few weeks ago. As we did not finish walking the last time, we manage to cover where we did not past and actually it is not that interesting as daddy as thought, but Wearhouse is now open in a new location, if you are looking for branded rejects.

Later we had our dinner at Esquire Kitchen, 4 dish and a soup for RM58.00++. Rating 4/10.

One Eye Grandpa

I woke up so early this morning asking for milk and woke daddy up after mommy went downstairs to get it from me.

Grandpa went to have his other eye operated and waited the whole day before it was his turn to be wheeled into the operating theatre. Granny didn't understand why could they make appointment for the surgery instead of waiting and hanging around in the hospital for an operation, a total waste of time.

Below is currently my favourite thai tv commercial, I would stop what ever I am doing just to watch this,

Lunch : Steam Egg and Carrot and Cauliflower with Steam Rice
Dinner : Steam Pomfret and Carrot Soup with Steam Rice

Finally

Woke up late today as I refused to sleep the night before and it was just another day at home watching Barnie and mommy doing video calls with Daddy. Daddy was suppose to be back for dinner but did not come back until very late in the night.

Today the yellow clad hooligans also agreed to leave the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok as the government headed by (ex) Prime Minister Somchai was dissolve as the court found the party guilty for vote buying the last election. Anyway "THIS IS THAILAND", a country full of smilling faces but the most important, face value.

Hopefully the pro and anti government do not start a new episode after the King's birthday this Friday as daddy has a great plan for us to Bangkok in February 2009. Daddy is planning to rent a campervan/caravan to drive around north or north eastern Thailand.

Granny also went to Kuala Selangor today to buy supposinglt fresher and cheaper seafood which daddy never did actually agree.

A Smilling Sky

This morning daddy got a new 3G sim card since the previous sim card was only a GPRS 128kb sim and good only for GPRS connections. With the new sim, daddy would be able to make video calls to mommy's phone for 'FREE' which is part of the family plan, 1 plus 3, which daddy subscribed to. Now daddy is also thinking of getting another 3G phone for the house mobile which grandpa and granny uses at home since any calls and SMS between the phones are free of charge.

In the afternoon, mommy manage to call granny in Hat Yai to ask about the flood situation since the flag indication has turned to red, flood imminent, hopefully the flood will reside since the rain stopped later in the evening.

Later in the evening when daddy got back, he realise that the sky had a natural 'smiley', a crescent with 2 planet (Venus and Jupiter). Daddy only realise when daddy was about to drive into the driveway. This phenomenon will not happen for another 28 years in year 2036. I got to see it but guess I will be too young to remember what I saw.
