Visiting Great Granny Grave

The drive back to Malaysia was quiet smooth, but it rained most of the journey since we left Hat Yai at 1200hrs - Thai Time (1300hrs - MST) and we arrived back in Kajang at 2130hrs - MST, which is 9hrs and 30mins which includes a terrible traffic jam immediately after Jepalapang toll booth, visiting great granny grave at Paradise Memorial Park near Chemor, a nice dinner at Han City Restaurant in Ipoh Garden East.

When we arrived at great granny grave park, the guard refuse to let us in because he says that the visiting hours is from 0800hrs till 1730hrs, which daddy got a shock!! Visiting hours? To grave? anyway he called the park manager and enquire the possibility of just a couple of minutes since we are not from around town and it would be my first time visiting great granny, he told daddy that he will call back and finally after a couple of minutes daddy called him back and he agreed to let us in for 5mins. I am not sure if this rediculous as closing the place at 1700hrs! What they were afraid that visitors might be attack by "something". Anyway we managed to go in for a couple of minutes.

"HELLO, AH TAI.... IT'S ME RYN RYN"

Daddy wanted to drive back to Ipoh house to visit my maternal great granny but no one answered the house phone so he thought no one was at home since Great Uncle Kirby did not pick up his mobile as well. Only when were on the highway going back home, Great Uncle Kirby called and told daddy that he was out and left his phone at home and Kus (the maid) and Great Granny was at home.

It was a good drive back, but rain throughout the way and it was quite unbelieveable that it only drizzle when we visited great granny's grave.

Last Night In Hat Yai

Today mommy thought of taking me out for some last minute shopping after having "Pad Thai" for dinner, but it doesn't seems to be such a good place for shopping anymore now. I remember Hat Yai use to boast it midnight sales but now, both main shopping centre in the middle of the town, mainly Central and Odean closes at 2100hrs "sharp", which could have been cause by the bomb detonated at 2130hrs on September 16th, 2006.

We were shopping and mommy was buying some shirt for me and you can see the sales attendant was more interested in looking at their watches as to how long they are going off work. Then around 2050hrs is when, daddy was sure they are going to close at 2100hrs as well because the staffs starts to cover the counters as well as turning off the "lights", can you believe it that they are turning off the light when customers are still inside shopping!. Anyway this is happaning in Hat Yai right now.

Daddy wanted to take me Songkhla Zoo today but the weather has been crazy for the past few days, actually since I arrived because it rained everyday around last afternoon or short shower around noon. But today, it rained since last night and did not stopped until dinner time. Daddy was afraid that Hat Yai will be flooded again and no way we could drive back to Malaysia. Anyway I will be coming back here again during Chinese New Year.

A Visit To Doctor

This morning daddy and mommy took me to see a doctor in Hat Yai for a second opinion since all this while I have only been seeing Dr. Khoo.

I went to Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai and Dr. Sirima attended to me. This hospital look so much more like a hotel then a hospital, the service is excellent and the child ward is very nicely decorated and filled with toys, slides, computer and other stuff. This visit was good because mommy asked many questions pertaining to my diet, stool and growth. Everything seems to be normal, as for my stools, its normal except doctor suggested that I should drink a lot more water when trying out new food as my body would need to adapt to it.

Home Home Home

I am still having some problem passing motion as my stools are still quite hard and I cry when I need to pass motion. Anyway daddy will take me to visit the doctor tomorrow for a check-up. Daddy thought of turning on Bob The Builder for me to watch but it was in Thai, so he just left it on and it wasn't very interesting anyway.

Anyway I stayed at home the whole day doing nothing.

A Drive To Border

This morning daddy was all ready to drive back to Malaysia since mommy is not sure when she will be getting her passport but daddy changed his mind after seeing it will be a problem if daddy is not around since there is no one at home and there isn't a baby cot for me to sleep in. Daddy was afraid of what happen in Kanchanaburi when I rolled of the bed.

Anyway it was a good drive, I had my milk once I got into the car and slept all the way to the border. Daddy was surprise to see the amount of people at the Thai border but luckily mommy had a chat with the officer and he agree to let us passed since we wanted to go to the Duty Free but daddy drove over the border to get his car road tax renewed at the post office. We came back into Thailand without any problem.

I am not sure if I am having some problem passing since I cry all time now and my stool is getting hard as well, very similar to a dough, but much drier. Wanted to see a doctor but it was too late as all the clinics were already closed.

Tomorrow daddy and mommy will have Dim Sum so after that they will take me to see a doctor.

Not many photos was taken today as daddy forgot to insert the memory card into the camera. Some photos taken today

Mermaid In Songkhla

Early this morning daddy took mommy and me to Songkhla to renew mommy's passport which is going to expire in 7 months. When mommy got her number she was more than 100 people away, so we decided to go for breakfast first and return later. Anyway after breakfast mommy there were still another 30 people before mommy's number. Then it was nightmare for daddy as I started crying immediately after mommy left the car. Mommy will have to wait for a couple of days before they send the passport to mommy's house. So daddy is not sure if he is going to drive back tomorrow or stay on, but anyway he need to get to the border tomorrow to renew his car road tax.

Daddy took me for a drive around Songkhla beach and to see the famous bronze mermaid located at Samila Beach.

Mommy also visited Untie Ae who just had a baby, my cousin, named Mark.

In Mommy's House

Last night I had some problem sleeping, waking up a couple of times crying but mommy is always by myside, so I fell asleep within minutes after that. Initially daddy wanted to go for his favourite Dim Sum in the morning but he was just like a pig waking up much later. Anwyay when daddy woke he was again too lazy to go anywhere. So it was a sleeping day for daddy and I stayed at home most of the time. Only in the evening when mommy wanted to walk around Central in Hat Yai to see if there is anything to get for me when daddy woke up and drove there. Daddy and Mommy got a surprise when they found out that Central Hat Yai (map) also had a baby room which they never came across. It was clean, and simple but mommy and daddy got a shock when they realise a breast pump was available for use as well!

Mommy bought me 3 VCD,
1) The Pingu Show - Vol. 12
2) Bob The Builder - Bob's Big Plan & Other Stories
3) Kipper "The Dog" - Vol. 11

Earlier in the day Kam Por, granpa sister came over as well to visit me. But we were actually to go over to her house to visit mommy's cousin new born baby boy. Maybe we will do it tomorrow after mommy going to the immigration office to renew her passport.

9 Hours Ride To Hat Yai

We left our Kajang house at 9am this morning with a slow drive to the Thai - Malaysian border. The whole journey took 9 hours arriving in mommy's Hat Yai home at 1800hrs. Th traffic on the highway wasn't as bad as what daddy predicted. It was quite heavy from Tg. Malim to Tapah R&R. Daddy decided to pull over into the R&R since it was time for my meal, we stop for about an hour to an hour an a half. We continued the journey all the way to Changlun stopping for gas and the thai vehicle insurance.

There was actually quite a bad crawl in the Malaysian Immigration but we manage to pass it within 30mins and daddy thought it was because of the Thai CIQ that is causing the jam to back up all the way to the Malaysian CIQ complex. Luckily it wasn't so bad.

I have to say that the Thai CIQ complexe at Sadao or to be more precise, Ban Danok is not properly planned for a surge in travellers crossing the border. I think the Thai government really need to look into the border crossing especially for the main international crossing. The whole process in the Thai CIQ took more than 1 hour and 30mins, lining up and it was raining heavily while mommy is trying to keep me dry. From the border it takes about 45mins to get to the house.

We (Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Aot and myself) had MK (Mommy's favourite) at Carrefour.

6 Months Old

Its been an exciting 6 months since I was born, growing up nicely for the first month, with passing blood in the second month with no growth, and having a very bad flu on the third month. Anyway, been fine for the past 2 months and hope that I stays this way until 1 year old.

Anyway daddy wanted to come back home earlier today but unfortunately he had a phoner interview in the evening which ended up till very late in the night. Mommy did all the packing for my first road trip to Thailand. I hope the journey would not be too long.
