9 Hours Ride To Hat Yai

We left our Kajang house at 9am this morning with a slow drive to the Thai - Malaysian border. The whole journey took 9 hours arriving in mommy's Hat Yai home at 1800hrs. Th traffic on the highway wasn't as bad as what daddy predicted. It was quite heavy from Tg. Malim to Tapah R&R. Daddy decided to pull over into the R&R since it was time for my meal, we stop for about an hour to an hour an a half. We continued the journey all the way to Changlun stopping for gas and the thai vehicle insurance.

There was actually quite a bad crawl in the Malaysian Immigration but we manage to pass it within 30mins and daddy thought it was because of the Thai CIQ that is causing the jam to back up all the way to the Malaysian CIQ complex. Luckily it wasn't so bad.

I have to say that the Thai CIQ complexe at Sadao or to be more precise, Ban Danok is not properly planned for a surge in travellers crossing the border. I think the Thai government really need to look into the border crossing especially for the main international crossing. The whole process in the Thai CIQ took more than 1 hour and 30mins, lining up and it was raining heavily while mommy is trying to keep me dry. From the border it takes about 45mins to get to the house.

We (Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Aot and myself) had MK (Mommy's favourite) at Carrefour.
