Just Me and Mommy

The day before grandpa and granny drove to Ipoh to meet up with Grand Auntie Pearl and Grand Uncle Daddy with Great Granny. They wanted to check the Ipoh house as Grand Uncle Kirby told them that before the neighbour moved out they threw a rubbish over the house and the house is full of rubbish so grandpa and grand auntie Pearl wanted to see how bad was it. So today they drove to Cameron Highland for a day.

As for me, it was just another day except that Auntie Jin and Ser Kai came over the afternoon and made mom's favourite Thai dish "som tam". Daddy did not return from work until 1900hrs.

My First Visit To Pavilion

Me and daddy did not wake up today until around noon. It was such a lazy day since it was a public holiday (Hari Raya Haji / Aidiladha / Eid-Ul-Adha) and daddy wasn't working. Daddy wanted to drive to pick up a cheque after lunch but decided not to when mommy told daddy that I need to have my milk at 1500hrs. So instead, daddy drove back home and let me have my milk before leaving at 1730hrs to pick up the cheque, unfortunately, when daddy got there around 1815hrs, it was already closed. After that daddy drove to Pavilion since none of us has been there before and mommy really wanted to have a look at this new mall.

Mommy wanted to get me a jacket from Pumpkin Patch since we might be going down under next year to visit Uncle David but there were no size left suitable for me. Most of the cloths were going for 50% discount, a real bargain for next year's clothing. This is a very big mall and we did not manage to cover all the area. There is this restaurant which daddy would really like to try the next time when he is there, Angus House (serve Japanese Charcoal wagyu beef steak), am sure we will be coming here again very soon. Just after we left Pavilion, daddy drove to meet up with Uncle Sum Hor at Asian Heritage Row collect a present for me, a cute Tweety Bird gold pendant.

Because daddy did not really planned to visit Pavilion so he did not bother to bring along the camera today.

Out Shopping With Mommy

Mommy took me out shopping today without daddy since granny drove to Tesco Extra at Cheras in the afternoon. Mommy called daddy to join them and he actually wanted to but mommy did not pick up the phone so he drove to collect his portable Western Digital HD which daddy sent it for warranty claim.

Well nothing much happened today except mommy was suggesting to daddy to changed the milk powder again. So daddy thought why not take me to see Doctor Khoo and check how is my growth and is there any problem with my weight since I am not getting chubby like all other babies my age.

You can see the photos below my new haircut!, and mommy think it look nice and even say my hair now looks like her idol Rain, but daddy thinks not anywhere near and its way too short. Well tomorrow is a public holiday and not sure what is planned for me tomorrow.

Got My Hair Cut

Today I got a very ugly haircut from mommy. It was so short and mommy thinks that it is trendy with the new hairstyle. This is the second time mommy cut my hair, the first time it was alright but this time I think she over did it. Well mommy actually showed it to her cousin and she say that I looked some actress from a korean movie but daddy think I look more like a "sakai".

Mommy today suggested to daddy to let me try a new milk powder since I am not getting any bigger. She was suggesting either Similac or Nan.

No photos was taken today as mommy was busy cutting hair for me. But it would be fun if daddy had been around to take video of me having my hair cut.

Leaving Penang

After 2 days going around Penang, it was time to leave this island and back to my house. Daddy wanted to leave Penang much earlier the morning so he could go into office in the afternoon but I only woke up around 1000hrs so we did not leave Penang until 1200noon. The drive back was very smooth except for some stretches which rained quite heavily. Anyway I slept most of the way back.

We arrived in Kuala Lumpur just before 1700hrs and daddy stopped over in the office to signed some documents before going back home at 1800hrs. It was a very tiring travel day.

Second Day In Penang

Daddy woke up quite late after a late night when mommy discovered the air-con in the room was leaking. When daddy got up he immediately called his artist to enquire about the sales of the CD during the performance and also make an appointment to meet up with them at Equatorial Hotel just before noon. Initially daddy thought to taking me, mommy, granny and grandpa for Char Kuey Teow first but because the journey from Batu Ferringhi took longer than what daddy expected so he drove straight to the hotel. After that it a food tour.

Daddy first went to Greenlane Assam Laksa stall, which was suppose to be a branch of the famous Ayer Itam Assam Laksa but unfortunately it was not open. Anyway mommy had Bangkok Famous Pork Leg rice, daddy had his Hokkien Mee, Grandpa had his Curry Noodle and Granny had first plate of Char Kuey Teow for the day. After that daddy drove us to the famous "Sisters Char Kuey Toew" which we waited for more than 30mins. Mommy says that it is quite good but grandpa says he will never return because the waiting time was just too long. Granny got no comment! After that it was the last stop, daddy's favourite eating street, Lorong Selamat, to see if the old man is still there making char kuey teow. Unfortunately, the old man is gone and the new guy who took over wasn't anywhere near what the old man cook. Well, daddy also his Curry Mee and Assam Laksa.

After that daddy wanted to take mommy again to do some shopping for me as i have not enough shirt to wear. Actually we were suppose to drive back today but after lunch daddy changed his mind to stay another night, its was a very good idea since mummy thought she can play sky flyer in the evening since she wanted to play it a for long time ago. But unfortunately it rained so mommy could not get on it. I slept almost 2 hours in the afternoon after we got back to Grand Auntie Pearl's house, and we all went to Gurney Plaza for dinner when I woke up. Mommy got 3 fairy tales books and 1 sleeping pants, since it was a last minute suggestion to stay another night.

In Penang

I got up late this morning for my first trip to Penang, well actually tagging along with daddy since he needed to go to Penang to meet up with is artist. We left Kajang at around 1000hrs and only arrived in Penang around 1500hrs with a lunch stop in Ipoh. The journey took longer than normal because of the road construction from Rawang to Tanjung Malim / Slim River where the highway was turn into a single lane instead of the usual dual-land. The traffic was good all the way from Ipoh to Butterworth and then the jam started again on Penang Bridge.

After we crossed the bridge, daddy immediately went to meet up with his artist at The Equatorial Hotel which he was supposed to collect something. After that we went to Kek Lok Si temple, the most famous Chinese temple in Penang for "tourist". Mummy keep telling daddy that she came to this temple on her first trip to Malaysia when she was 7 years old, but now the temple has changed a lot, there are big and beautiful praying halls now but mummy was very disappointed because the turtle pond is gone... berrr makkk... and another thing is she had to carry me the whole time around in temple alone i think we spend about an hour there.. imagine you carry a rice bag which weight about 7.4 kg for an hours.... poor mummy.. :(

We arrived Grand auntie Pearl's apartment around 6 pm, mummy took bath for me before we left for dinner around 2000hrs. Actually daddy wanted to bring us to visit the Thai and Burmese temple along Burma Road but mommy did not want to. So that was about what I did on my first trip to Penang.

Is Friday!

After months of getting a temporary plastic drawer to keep all my cloths, today mommy finally moved all my cloths into my one drawer since the plastic drawer is too small and not enough to fit all my cloths in it anymore. Guess daddy will not be getting any more cloths for me the next few months.

Not sure what happen to me after daddy and mommy had their dinner as I was very quiet and seems very lazy as well. Did not want to move, just sleeping on mommy's shoulder until later in the evening, when my cousin Kitt came over to my house with Sam Kam Poh and Sam Kau Goong. I became more cheerful and playful, at least I did not cry when I met Sam Kau Goong.

Tomorrow I will be leaving in the morning to Penang Island as daddy need to collect something from one of his artist (Jeanette Wang - 王芷蕾) performing for a charity show organised by Kwong Wah Jit Poh (Newspaper). Hope the traffic going up north will not be too bad.

A Shopping Day

Well it was going to be another day for me but daddy called back and asked mommy if she want to go shopping in the evening after daddy got off work. Well, definately the answer was yet. So we went out to KLCC in the evening to see what was on sales. Initially daddy thought getting a new wallet for himself since his 10 years old wallet is starting to tear but nothing interest him and the wallet he wanted has no discount. Anyway mommy got me more toys from Fisher-Price, a learning phone and play cubes. Mommy also got me a new farmer suit and a pants from Pumpkin Patch.

Unfortunately, no photos were taken today as daddy was too lazy to carry the camera around since he thought nothing much to take around Suria KLCC but he was wrong, the christmas deco are up and it was a waste that we did not take the camera there. Hope mommy will take some photos of what I got today.

Today's Movie -

I am 8 Months Old

Today I am 8 months old and not growing as how mommy and daddy wish I would. The amount of milk which I am drinking is sufficient from what the doctor says but I am not gaining much weight. Will make a visit to Dr. Khoo in 2 weeks time just before my trip to Bangkok to celebrate my first New Year.

Anyway today we already made appointment to have dinner with Yee Ku Por at Auntie Cyn Cyn working restaurant in Pavillion, but because we were told that the food there isn't very good so we decided to have it at Crystal Palm in Jalan Ipoh instead. Maybe will try their dim sum the next time as some good reviews was given to the dim sum.

This morning when mommy woke up she notice that I got bitten by mosquito at a few places and the worst bitten is my ear which turn red and swollen. Not sure how long it will take to recover this time. Daddy will never buy anything with Mortein brand, Shieldtox rules even they come from the same company.
